Rias Risa (laughs)
I chose Slade because I'm honestly tired of retarded airhead protags. Is there even any real difference between who you choose? Is it a dumb MK2 thing where you need to play through the game twice with minimal differences?
>>722340642How'd this atelier?
How smelly is she?
>>722340642Which umas are these?
>>722342027It's too early to say, it doesn't appear to be much different early on past the first few minutes where you start differently but we don't know yet.
It's kinda boring.
PLATCHA SEXO
>>722343118It's okay but it kind of feels like a Chinese clone of Atelier. But I guess presentation wise everything else is probably going to look really cheap after Yumia.
>>722343819Front sexo
>>722343819>>722343893Did they really use her uncensored model? What the fuck is this frankenstein game?
>>722343819>>722343893

>>722302561
>>722344190Tummy is also sexo
>>722340642probably the most trooncore series that isn't indieslop
>>722344380Troons hate straight romance and men interacting with women, retard. They like female only casts
Wait, where do you fullfill this mission?
>>722344704It's weird that it doesn't show you the characters marked, but if I remember correctly you have to give items to Totori and Heiter. There should be a deliver prompt when you talk to them
>>722344937Ok I will, thanks
Yes it worked, I gave them all the E level items, fuck them for not being highlighted.
>>722345174Ye it's really weird, but it's the only time it happens thankfully.
>>722344380Kya tendiejeet
Finished the game just now in 47 hours with 36/42 achievements
Slade gets blocked by friendship with the rest when asking Rias for a dateouch
I miss GUST general.
>>722345956Give us a review.
>>722343998It seems like they just undid the gacha game's censorship for this release. IDK, man.
>>722340642Which one would you eliminate and why?
>>722346720They still gave Totori shorts though (spats in the gacha). And considering we've had loli panty games on consoles this year (Edens Zero) this means they are just simply afraid to do it rather than Apple/Google telling them no.
>>722346906LuluaYou should not be playing that one until you've finished the other Arland games and it's not very good anyways
>>722347060I'm going to just go ahead and assume they undid any censorship that was done post-facto and Totori was just modeled with pants in the first place here.
>>722347065This is literally my first time diving into the franchise. Is there anything else you would necessarily modify about my cart before I go to town?
>>722347232Then in general, you're doing it wrong. Play the goddamn sub-series in order.
Are there multiple endings?
>>722347315Nigger this shit gets expensive. What are your top 3? go.
An apple a day makes Gordoma away
>>722346906I find Meruru extremely atractive
So, at some point in their lifetime, Alma's family line at least fucked ONE dog, is that so?
>>722346251I liked it quite a bit, not my all time fav Atelier, but I can see myself coming back to playing it once every couple years like I do with most Ateliers that I like.Story wise, I thought it was rather cliché ever for the kind of game it is. The exploration was a bit of a letdown as most areas are either very straightforward or just randomly generated. I liked the alchemy although I found it hard to get proper traits going especially before you can buy the catalysts. Saying it like this makes it sound a bit negative ><
>>722347516Mine is in no particular order Sophie 1Sophie 2Ayesha
>>722348710What do you have to say about the general criticisms of Sophie 1?
>>722348916To preface this. I am not a big fan of the time limit games, So I liked Sophie's more laid back feel, which comes through in the gameplay as well as the setting itself, playing out in a small rural village instead of the bigger cities of some other games. I also really like the Alchemy and I think having different cauldrons each having pros and cons was a fun idea. My main critiques of it are the small gathering areas and the somewhat difficult means of unlocking certain side-areas and character events.
>>722349587I appreciate this post. Thank you anon. I'll bank on your recommendation as my starting point into the franchise.
Don't let the thread die yet!
So what's the best way to get the achievement for doing 99,999 damage?
It looks like the first proper mod is out that isn't a lazy nude mod.
So I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask.But in Sophie 2 according to https://barrelwisdom.com/sophie2/locations/childhood-dreamland/en there are several Major Gathering points in the Childhood Dreamland area, but I never see them there. Even tried it on new game+ but I still can't see any there.
>>722347232Atelier is divided by arcs/worlds:>ArlandRorona, Totori, Meruru and Lulua >DuskAyesha, Escha and Logy, Shallie>MysteriousSophie 1, Firis, Lydie and suelle, Sophie 2>RyzaRyza trilogy >YumiaJust yumia at the moment>ReslerianaGacha plus new game, has guests from other gamesYou also have the remake of the first atelier, Marie. You could try to give it a try to the first game of any arc and see which one you like. Rorona is still comfy
>Cat ears>No tailexplain
>>722354631She's like a capybara. Also, some people are saying the she's a dog, not a cat.
>>722349587Based I do think Sophie 2 is the better game but Sophie 1's comfy vibe is unmatched.
Just crafted up the N/A and went to use the purple Geist Core on it just to see what the next level of the effect was going to be. It's "power is not reduced by Duplication." Totori is gonna be fucking happy.
Is Resna in this game at all? She’s a much better protagonist than Rias.
>>722355286Yes. You have to buy the ultimate edition to have her in the party though.
>>722355286I know you meet her early on, and literally every single otherworlder knows her and gets told about Rias from her.
>>722346906If one HAS to go, then i guess Meruru
>>722340642>mini skirt modbl relection 4 when?ue
>>722340642How's the end game? People are there by now right?
>>722356991Maybe next year...maybe.
>thought the store part of the game is where you put things for sale then come back later to see if anything sold>its just if you wanna do store shit, just put the stuff on the shelf then hit sell, to sell, then go and if you wanna do store shit again just repeat selling things over and over again
>>722340642she's cute but i don't like her jacket and hat
Does ATK boosts Wilbell's magic attack or do I need another stat for her magic?
>>722356991forgot the pic
>>722360560attack boosts all attack typesnote that her skills do not do magic damage unless it says that it does. Most of them only do fire or air damage. However her basic attacks are magic unlike most other characters.
>>722361236Better late than never.
>>722356991Fuck off. Go play the gatcha.
>>722340642What's YOUR #1 FAVORITE Atelier game?
Alive game.
>>722347060They modeled Shallotte's panties, which you can see even with that classic Gust camera
>>722363395Sophie 2. It is the logical step forward for the series. Every entry bows before its mechanical perfection.
>>72236417818 and also a titty monster. Safe panties.
>>722363395Sophie 2
It's funny how the alchemy you have to bend over backwards to get any traits passed around, but as soon as you get unlimited catalysts it becomes a breeze. I feel like they should've given you buyable catalysts earlier in the game because I didn't do much with alchemy other than make an item then slap traits on it with fairy enhancements, and by the time you do get unlimited catalysts, the game is already essentially over
>>722345956How many chapters?
>>72236670710 + Epilogue
>>722346906Probably too late, but i encourage starting from Arland Rorona for one simple reason: QOL upwardsTechnically totori will actually be rougher than rorona but skipping games will make for an awkward experience when previous characters always show up in the same series. The games will be rougher and gradually improve QOL. It's a lot more painful going from modern QOL to decade+ old qol. Thats been my route and was very much right decision. >NXX DX captcha
>>722355286idk short time i interacted with Resna she felt very bland. Rias isn't great either 2bh
Does this game have any panties at all? Also Yumia shaves.
>>722345956surprised clocked in that high, im at like 15h and it feels like the storys already nearing endgame lol
>>722367610>>722364178I don't think for party members though. Totori was shorts'd. I haven't seen anything for Sophie.
>>722363395Ayesha is my favorite stand alone game, but Arland as a whole is my favorite trilogy because Ayesha is retroactively hurt as a game with how many things were left unfinished by the next two games being a mess.
Falcom is still the king of upskirts.
>>722363395My top 3 areShallieRyza 2YumiaWhat can I say, I love exploring ancient ruins and uncovering the past.
>>722368376Not even in the golden days did Gust let you get that kind of easily, so it's lame they felt the need to start voiding and spatsing anyway. I guess being owned by one of the big boy publishers does that
>>722368498I never got to see any of these special attacks because by the time they unlock you already win fights too quickly to ever build the gauge up no the one in the final boss doesn't count
>>722368646L&S and Lulua were the last ones to actually give us real upskirts I feel. I guess you can consider Yumia but it's kind of comical how elastic her skirt is.
Just took the shrink wrap off this qt. Hoping for some classic Arland/Kishida fanservice
>>722370209I hope you have fun with it. I personally hate Arland but I can respect it as an Atelier title.
>You're not allowed to peek at panties>hey, it's actually ok if it's swimsuitSeriously, i don't know man.
just started yumia, am i in for kino?also she just moved a whole ass piece of stone all by herself wtf
>>722372354no both the alchemy and combat are badstory isn't great either and there's not much interesting to find in the open world
>>722372354its a very fun exploration open world game but a shit atelier. possibly some of the worst combat and alchemy the series has ever had but I still love the game due to the story and art direction of the zones. Lenja is also very cute.
In Yumia they made the white puni friendly. They like to circle around Yumia and smile and do puni things. The black puni are still hostile and try to steal your bike whenever they spot you.
>>722372520it do jiggle thoughhonestly i just want a game i can mindlessly play while studying on the side, not sure if yumia is the best for that but i can refund if needed>>722372583lenja is a cutie and like half the reason i bought the game lol. is the exploration fun at least...? or should i just play a dif game
>>722372354Ignore this jackass >>722372520, just have fun.
erm...am i being NTR'd?
>>722372985>is the exploration fun at least...? or should i just play a dif gameIt's pretty basic open world exploration where you run around and hit up the ? marks as they open up. It's nothing amazing but they made the movement feel really smooth. As a long time Atelier fan I was a fan with the new twist they did for the series but I know not everybody will like it. Play a bit in the first zone to see if you like how it flows. The main draw of the world for me was how unique the zones looked along with all the vistas but it's understandable if you don't like it since it's not a very atelier like game. The main problem with the alchemy is that it doesnt really take any player input to make broken items. You literally just to auto add ingredients for every recipe and it will shit out broken gear for you. They kind of fixed this issue with the post game difficulties they added but it doesnt fix how braindead and bad the alchemy was. Combat is also just ryza 2.0 with some active dodging mechanics added. I'd say it's better than Ryza combat but both systems are absolute ass considering what Gust has done in the past.
>>722363395Atelier Iris 3 Grand Phantasm, mostly because it's part of my teenhood.
>>722346906sophie 2 is the best atelier game over all, but id still go ayesha because the story is better.
>>722373286honestly it seems up my alley then, i liked genshin exploration a lot when that came out and open world stuff can be fun... but anon, ims tuck at this door in the tutorial and dont know how to get past it :c there's no button prompt to "open the door" when i go next to it either...
>>722373562look for a lever or something, idk. i remember the tutorial being pretty straight forward.
>>722373562never mind i had to shoot the red glowy thing on the other side... man
>>722372354Yumia is an ok enough game, its just a bad atelier entry
>>722347182>they undid any censorship and just did extra censorship>>722364178>>722368020They also got rid of Corneria's shorts but I don't know if she has panties again or if there's more editing there.
Nina is such a cow.
What does puni on items do? It says -20 attack, is that bad for me?
Why is Resnas alchemy so braindead? Idk why people are praising this game saying its like sophie 2 when the alchemy is almost as bad as Yumias.
>>722376075Wow
>>722363395Currently Lydie&Suelle. No real complaints
>>722376079while hovering the cursor over a material or recipe hit select to bring up a shortcut to the guide menu. This is quick way to check what any trait does. Also good for checking what items you can make have a category when looking at recipes.

>>722377043bro, its a beyond ridiculous shirt thingy. No good mom would make that in the first place
>>722377305The implication is that the sides were opened up when she outgrew it so she could make it fit and keep wearing it
>>722376613Oh with a cursor, I was only using my xborx controller, thank you for the tip!
>>722376637>>722376970>>722377305>literally no art of her with the skirt off showing you it's a leotard like Totori
>>722378758they both have panties. They're in the texture files in the game despite being covered up during gameplay
>>722368874Yumia is wearing shorts isn't she? Pretty sure she was.
>>722379182Everyone in Yumia's game is wearing shorts.
Gust modeled bloomers over the panties for whatever reason but the panties are there ingame if you camera clip it or edit the model like this. i remember this being the case in other atelier games too. the artists are forced to cover up their work.
>>722379278this from the new game right?Well. At least it's not a black void.
>>722379278>Gust modeled bloomers over the panties for whatever reasonAt KT's demands, most likely.>>722379330The tripfag is retarded as per usual.
>>722379182>>722379264idk I thought they were shorts at first too but when you look at them in default stances they look way too small to be shorts.>>722379330that's from l&s with mods. this is their canon panties made by gust but they are impossible to view normally like this since they have bloomers over them by default.
>>722379368I fully admit I'm retarded and not smart, I just like cute girls>>722379436Oh, thank you
>>722379278A fine butt.
>>722379278holy feast
>>722379278Wait, Nelke was in L&S?
>>722379754Not the original, but in the DX version.
>>722342027Then why the fuck are you playing Atelier?
are they really biological sisters? If so I have some questions about the ears.
>>722379754It was added in l&s DX. You got to walk around the city too.
>>722379436Is this a doable angle in normal gameplay? Good evidence. They don't look like shorts after all.
>>722379928if you get up real close you can see that they're very short shorts and not panties
>>722379928it was but the game bugged for me after combat. funnily enough the models were bugged like that in camera mode too which is how I was able to get screenshots of all the characters. I think Yumia does have panties but the animations stretch them out to make them look like shorts in motion.
>>722346906Just get them all.
Dusk had the best setup and most interesting world among the modern ateliers, but is also the series with the most unfulfilled potential. One thing I will always gripe about is how Miruca should've been the other protagonist in Shallie instead of Shallotte. They can keep Shallistera as the country bumpkin/traditional alchemy protagonist, but Miruca could've represented the city slicker/modern alchemy side of things. Escha and Logy dabbled on this angle a bit, but they never really went in depth.Shallistera was your very archetypical plucky nice girl Atellier Heroine with a beaming smile, but Miruca was cynical, blunt, perpetually grumpy and practically had a disinterested scowl on her face all the time. The former treated alchemy with magical wonder, while the latter was more clinical and pragmatic about it. This is also reflected in how Shallistera used a magical bell-wand thing, while Miruca armed herself with a goddamn pilebunker.Shit, Miruca's concept sketches literally labelled her as "Rival". But we never really see this angle in the game. And on the topic of rivals, Atelier also never really had a true rival alchemist character for the protagonist since Ilmeria in Firis haven't they?
>>722379909She was called an adopted sister in her introduction, how did you miss that?
>>722379915One of the first things I did after unlocking this was take a pic of that puni bounce house on the left
>>722380660I don't know how I missed itI was probably still distracted looking at Rias that early
This one was tricky to get
>>722380761
>>722355436Resna's design was perfect now that I look at it again.
>>722380761You mean the bouncy castle?
Glad to see that Gust couldn't be bothered to voice side content in this game. They voiced all of the Yumia dlcs though for some reason.
>>722381486Classic gust being cheap for most of the time and then weirdly put in effort in the most minor thing
So why did they not even bother trying to explain what the heck Apexi was? I never played the gacha and they keep talking about it. I'm not playing your shitty fucking gacha gust, fuck off.
>>722381486I'm just glad they didn't forget her
>>722382049they already made her model in the gacha, they gotta recycle it somehow. also side note I think this is the only new atelier game i've played that i kind of dislike. it seems a lot of praise this game is getting is just some sort of vindication from tryhard fans that hated yumia and think the classic formula is the best but they are basically ignoring everything else about the game.
>>722382767
>>722380557ayeshas has the worst alchemy for me out of all the games. Despised it.e&L was alright. I actually enjoyed Shallies alch a good amount.
Is Escha in the game too?
>>722381801im 16h in and still absolutely no clue wtf they are talking about
ugly so ugly
>>722381801>>722385170Apexi(and Weltex) show up in the terminology guide in the game
>>722381801>I'm not playing your shitty fucking gacha gust, fuck off.Not that you can play it even if you wanted to.Nowadays Apexi's in general is irrelevant in resleriana.
I want Dusk 4 ,Sophie 3 or Lydie and Suelle 2
>>722386398It'll happen. Eventually.
Found a video called Fix Atelier Resleriana which is pure ai I think, it's insane.
>>722386064I have the JP one on steam but idk if the dmm servers are still region locked. not like i'd want to play it anyway.
>>722386398>Dusk 4Oh god please yes.>Sophie 3Why. Sophie already completed her character arc in L&S. She's finally a grownass adult, got a license, renown as probably the greatest Alchemist in the world and restored her blowup sex doll into full humanity. Not much else to do with her. In fact L&S is probably the most conclusive in a subseries to the point that they just made Sophie 2 a prequel.>L&S 2Might be cool just to see how the mesugaki twins grow up and find their own paths in life and maybe baby trap Mathias and Alt while they're at it.
I feel that this game looks even worse than Ryza.
What makes Atelier Ayesha so beloved?
>>722388649Comfy melancholic apocalypse world, things are grim, but not misery porn. Most of the world are barren wastelands, ruins of once great civilizations or polluted shitholes. But it makes the few places where greenery still thrives and communities of people form even more special. People acknowledge the rough state of the world, but still continue living the best they can. Ayesha is a very compelling protagonist. Most Atelier heroines are either bums trying to avoid getting thrown out the streets, or just a sweet girl trying to be the bestest alchemist. Ayesha's framework is closer to the latter, but the game introduces her as a hermit Apothecary living in the woods since all her family is dead. Rather than an Alchemist, she just wants to make medince to help people and live quietly. Then suddenly, it turns out the sister she thought dead might actually not be dead and she's thrust out to explore their dying world and find the truth. Ayesha was a girl with a certain level of resignation to just letting things be, but it turns out the right spark galvanizes her to do so much more. Thematically, she's a good protagonist to a series set in a world that seemingly accepted its inevitable demise. It's a very strong hook. Mechanically, its also the last game where time limits meant shit. It's not so stressful that you'll be on edge all the time, but its no so lenient that it might as well not be fucking there. Battle system is admittedly a tad simple, but easy to get into. Only demerit I can give Ayesha is that the Alchemy can be a tad clunky. It's a game that had a very strong vision and hook. Perfect game to start off a new subseries. A shame that the succeeding games in fell a tad short.
>>722389694Would you say the alchemy is holding it back? I tried reading other opinions, yours was masterfully written btw thank you, and it was a point of contention commonly mentioned.
>>722389856If you came from Arland or Mysterious, Ayesha's Alchemy can be jarring yes. It's also not particularly beginner friendly and most of the tools and gimmicks that really let you go to town with the Alchemy are locked like till midgame or something. Most of the other Ateliers give you all the toys to fully game their Alchemy systems earlier, with you only being gated by recipes and ingredients. As a first in a new series, I'll give some lenience in them trying to experiment, but nonetheless Ayesha's Alchemy can be a little rough. Succeeding games in Dusk had much better battle and alchemy systems (I daresay they even have one of the best in the series as a whole), but worse everything else.
>>722390990Please consider Yumia.
Okay after reconsideration this is what I'm getting this sale
So is Totori actually the only one that's censored now?
>>722392672Sophie 2 is probably the best modern Atelier mechanically and Ayesha has the best atmosphere. Both are also very newfag friendly games.Good picks anon.
Playing sophie 2 without playing sophie 1 first is pretty dumb imo despite 1 being an absolute shitty game.
>>722393061There is a recap movie so who cares. Only Sophie and Plachta are returning characters anyways.
What's the lore reason for why she's like this
>>722392672imo a terrible decision even if you're being budget conscious. Story will have to do heavy lifting for you to not bounce off ayesha. and sophie 2 may make playing the other games bad experiences by comparison
>>722392802Someone needs to check Sophie.
>>722393776I'll be fine
>>722393680she grew up surrounded by fishthis changes a person
>>722393680Despite her overall adorable and kind personality, she has a consistent streak of recklessness and veering into the weird. She just thinks different from everyone else sometimes
>>722393776>Story will have to do heavy lifting for you to not bounce off ayesha.Everything in Ayesha is great besides Alchemy. And I think its already implicit to everyone above room temperature IQ that newer games in a series will typically have QoL changes that innovates on or fixes problems those earlier games had. But seeing how those changes game to be and enjoying things that were products of its time is still a perfectly enjoyable experience.
>>722394116bending drunk totori over a barrel...
>>722394314Oh my.
>>722342718Didn't yuzo koshiro make some songs for this or am I misremembering?
>>722394263Eh when going through an old series, i just think its a terrible idea to start on the newer stuff. It can easily make you want to quit from the lack of qol or just simply burn out way quicker.Ayeshas combat is braindead simple. And imo easily worst alchemy in the series so im 99% sure i wouldve bounced had i not just played roro-toto-meru
>>722386398I would like to play Atelier Ramizel.
>>722394942>easily worst alchemy in the series So are we having the "Atelier started with Arland and anything before it or handheld doesn't exist" conversation or..
Nothing is good about arland unless you are a coomer that loves retarded children getting molested by a pedophile freak "woman".
>>722395387I honestly don't even know what predates arland, those were too old for me to want to try
>>722394942I'll take Ayesha's stunted and confusing alchemy over Ryza and Yumia's braindead one any day.
>>722395748you can probably say that in hindsight though. Someone new to the series super high chance of dropping with how confusing and cumbersome ayeshas was. Im very slowly going thru ryza so i understand the dislike for its alch.
>>722393680astrid
>>722340642I am so tired of atelier haggification
Dusk is still the best series. People shit on Shallie a lot but I think the game was great and it probably had some of the most important lore drops in the entire series. It's a good game and was the ultimate lead into the grand finale of the series if gust didn't pussy out.
ponder the fragrance.
It was weird seeing them comment about how it just "suddenly gets bright" when the time shifts but then some dialogue shows that the sudden shift to day/night was what was actually happening in-universe
>>722387219>Sophie already completed her character arc in L&SThey can always make a new big bad If Sophie is still making numbers they will make something happen(honestly we'd probably see another Ryza entry before Sophie if they really want to make more entries to older protags)
>>722396235Is that a
They should make a game when we play as Sophie’s grandma.
So why do people love Sophie 2 so much when it has-one of the most boring casts in the entire history of atelier.-terribly boring setting and story that doesn't even use young plachta and luards plot at all. there was so much potential and the game didn't even attempt anything.-crap endgame compared to other ateliers.-tedious weather system that does nothing other than attempt to hide padding and recycled areas.the only things I will praise about sophie 2 is the combat and alchemy but everything else as a complete package is not enough for me to rank it high on my list. Also Sophie 2's combat isn't even in the top 5 for me. It just seems people have mega autism and love to stack colored blocks for their alchemy.
>>722386398I want more Keith x Ayesha kino
>>722396782You already answered your question.>the only things I will praise about sophie 2 is the combat and alchemyIt just feels nice to play. I actually agree that is an offensively nothingburger story and cast (something it shares with Sophie 1 actually). But if you need something that is plain fun to tinker with or recommend to someone to get a general feel for what Atelier is, Sophie 2 is a solid game for the task.

>>722391462Yumia is a great design but her game needs a new combat system if it gets a sequel

I love how she can just do this The penalty seems to matter so little when other AoE skills have much weaker power
Total Totori victory!
>>722389694>Ayesha is a very compelling protagonist. To add to this anon sucking off Ayesha, the true ending of her game had a more grandiose but also melancholic feel.In other Ateliers, their canon endings always boil down to: "And then she achieved her short term goals and went on to be happy and be the bestest alchemist she can be and it was happily ever after."Ayesha's canon ending for her game? She developed a moral dilemma on whether it truly was the right thing to shut down Yggdrasil. I mean, she was gonna do it regardless because she was gonna fucking save Nio no matter what, but she seriously thought about the repercussions of her actions and everything else about the world that led to Yggdrasil going haywire in the first place. After saving Nio, Ayesha resolved to leave everything behind and pursue the truth. During her journey to save her sister, Ayesha bore witness to the sad state of the world and the mistakes of Alchemists past. Now that she's sure her sister is safe, the next thing on her mind is to discover the secrets of the Dusk and maybe unfuck the world if it could still be unfucked. And to achieve that, she was willing to leave everything behind. The home she loved so much, the sister she risked her life for, and all her friends. She knows the path ahead she chose is very harsh and lonely, but it was the one she chose. A future of being a nomad wandering a dying world while having the brand of a criminal.More than any other first game in a new series, Ayesha set things up to have a grand adventure in a world that seemed to be in its twilight. Like it was supposed to be just the beginning of something much bigger. And then we got Eschatology and Shallie. Like man, they were fine enough games, but none of the setups in Ayesha had any satisfying followups.
