I really enjoy it for how unique it is, and I have quite a bit of nostalgia for it. I would never say it's a great game though. It is better than 1-4 and XIII though.

He was using Sorceresses as a way to hide his power and not be killed off by humans, but by Ultimecia's time the White SeeDs were systematically hunting Sorceresses and by extension unintentionally finishing Hyne off.So by compressing time he's safe and can't be killed.
