I don't understand how this game ever got 10s. It doesn't deserve more than a 6 or 7. Many of the deaths are stupidly unavoidable unless you've already died to it at least once (and who ever heard of actually losing a life during a MINIGAME), the checkpoint placement is badly designed in the later half of the game, a lot of areas feel too repetitive (even for Mario), and the first game was considerably better. Hell, for Nintendo standards, the music is really average. Oh yeah, it's time for the collect-a-thon style of platformer to die out.
