And the combat....Dear fucking god. It's, somehow, MORE braindead than your typical MMO affair. They even added shitty QTEs, just to retard-proof the whole package. Did I miss something during my playthrough? I sunk over 120 hours into this fucking slog, seeing and doing almost everything, and I feel completely indifferent.

Xenoblade reaches a much more nuanced view/thesis of God as the series progresses.1 is probably the most cut-down Xeno story one could reasonably imagine. Not to say it’s bad, but I absolutely think it lacks some of the nuance present in the rest of the metaseries. That all being said I think 1 is more complex than “god bad, simple as.”
