Looking back and rereading some supports Shamir has a tendency to reference her "freedom" as a mercenary but sometimes in a negative light. She mentions that in Dagda too much freedom could be a bad thing. I think the reason most people think Engage supports are terrible is because they are front loaded with the most terrible ones. All the stupid bodybuilding Firene ones, Framme and Alear, etc. give you a really bad first impression and a lot of people stopped reading them because of that. But there’s plenty of great and varied stuff later on, like Panette and Pandreo, Boucheron and Lapis, Ivy and Zelkov, Mauvier and Lindon, Goldmary and literally anyone, the list goes on.

Panette is a very good girl. Her personal skill is one of the best in the game. It's a shame how so many personal skills are imbalanced in Engage, despite having very good gameplay. I still think Conquest has the tighest balance ever in a FE but Engage is very close too because of the crazy stuff you can do with rings and still be challenged due to the enemy quality. The Defeat Four Bosses map was one of my favourite maps in the series alongside Thracia's and Conquest's defense maps.
