Especially in games like Jungle Beat he was just such a cool role model how he fought those hulking evil Kongs or in Tropical Freeze where he fought this huge bear with a massive hammer.The new Donkey Kong is a joke. He feels like a parody of the basedboy meme. He isn't badass anymore. He's just big anymore, like a fat manbaby that would get beaten by a person half its size in a fight.

It's kinda like Ratchet from R&C after R&C1 being written to be nice, and by the time of Ratchet 2016, all his edgy was gone, but the gameplay of the series is still the same. So you end up with this super nice guy just going around wiping out wildlife and armies of men.
