Okay tendie

>>722405528
KSP is old and Unity based. KSP2 was supposed to be the first game, but more (planetary bases, interstellar travel), but turned out to be a total shitshow. KSA is being developed by some of the original KSP devs and modders (like the cloud guy), and is promising to be what KSP2 was supposed to be.

>Kitten Space Agency (KSA) is an upcoming 3D space program simulation game developed by RocketWerkz. The game is currently in early development stages, and is being built on RocketWerkz' own BRUTAL framework.
Also, apparently, it's not going to be on Steam. It's a shame that all of the information is being hidden on a Discord server.

You can sell games without Steam DRM in steam.
They will work without Steam being opened, and there are a bunch of games(usually software though) in Steam like that
>>722416015
Red flag because retarded devs are either greedy or plan to release so bad EA, that they think it will be negative reviewed
If first, there is a chance for later steam release, but they will still fuck up monetization. If second, better not touch it for long time

It's always weird arguments that other games have managed to implement while also publishing there
Vintage Story devs said they want their own backend with their own account system and logins, as well as their own solution for mods, and they can't have that on Steam but then Factorio exists and does all of that with 0 problems

If they don't want to be a forever Early Access title, that's understandable, but somehow they never list that

That was just a poetic way of putting it, that time is not strictly linear and you can get it to do all kinds of stuff if you're chad enough to go inside of a black hole. Something something, 5-dimensional tesseract.

>>722427248
It's a ground-based team shooter, so no. You could expect the community to look like TF2, which is furfag and tranny central. I'm legit surprised it's not worse in your pic.
Space games would be:
>Elite Dangerous
>Space Engine
>X, X3, X4
>No Man's Sky
>Eve Online
>Star Trek Online

Now I know it sounds like a cop-out because this particular community would be chock full of trannies, but Starfield doesn't count since that's just Fallout 4 with a spaceship shooting minigame between loading screens. There's no space exploration.

KSA is an anomaly for how thick it is with the mentally ill.

In Elite Dadgerous, you can bellyflop on a planet if you don't control your thrust, but de-orbiting and orbiting are as easy as pointing your ship toward or away from the planet and accelerating. Transferring to other planets is easy, too. You barely have to think about it.

Yeah you can recreate any historical mission. It's got tons of mods and shit. The game went open source a few days ago and now natively supports things that before used to be mods only, like...having sounds.
The OG was a personal project of a university professor so it was kinda rough, but it is really fucking accurate and sim. Despite playing for hundreds of hours, I could never successfuly trans orbit to a planet smaller than Jupiter, and that was with tons of freestyle course corrections.
>>
>>722428336
>you can't go inside a blackhole and survive
Depends on a black hole. If it's big like Sagittarius*, you wouldn't even notice that you've crossed the event horizon and you won't experience adverse effects like spaghettification for a long while.
>>
I don't care about new RCS nozzle models or volumetric clouds I just want KSP at a semi-realistic scale with semi-realistic part mass and thrust and structural strength because strapping jeb to a rover chair with a solid rocket booster and going straight to the mun with it because it's just that easy is only entertaining the first few hundred times

If you let it and have a docking computer installed. Travel between planets is mostly automatic if you do it the slow way, but to land on the surface of a planet you actually have to things manually. If you're attacked in atmosphere and your engines are disabled, you're a pancake. Not really on-rails.

But I thought you wanted something simpler than KSP. If you want patched conics and orbital plotting, you can't get any simpler than KSP. There's really nothing easier than that system, you just have to learn the navigation lingo and that's it.

No I mean originally KSP2 was being made by the original devs. Now we have KSA made by some of the original devs. My point is that the original KSP2 that was being made would have actually been better (than KSP2) before the publisher jewery. So basically KSA but earlier.
>>
>>722429913
no i mean the orbital cruise and everything is on rails
imo it just doesnt convey the feeling of escaping or entering gravity
and there is no orbit. there is no "being near a body and being slowly tugged towards it", no gradually falling faster and faster. just on rails segments of travelling towards it

Flight of Nova on Steam. It has a demo. Don't expect much content as its just a single planet, but it is almost 1:1 with earth's size. There are atmospheric flight models or you can exit the atmosphere to try and orbit and sync up with orbiting stations. It's actually really difficult to take off from planet and sync your orbit with a station. I enjoy the challenge. And reentry can be quite difficult when trying to end up near certain bases.
