Any schmuck with a Wikipedia article can be a potentially be a Servant. I don't know if I'm in the minority here (probably?) but I have never really cared for the near side routes while the far side routes and their heroines have always been my favorite part of the game, so the remake only being near side with the far side part being seemingly another 15 years away has pretty much killed any enthusiasm I had for the remake years ago.

If a remake is already going to change things then it should go all the way and change a lot to give a different experience, tsukihime remake was never a simple remaster and pretending otherwise is disingenuous, it's a retelling of a 20 year old story with a ton of amateur stuff in it and you were not ever going to get a repeat of that original experience
