The build up to that fight is giga kino, they also paint Kane as being so goddamn strong despite being a regular human that even a space magic juiced Jason can only hope to slow him down, not actually stop him, all while Kane is in the ORIGINAL SOPHIA.
That's another trope I like, when the prototype of some vehicle winds up being the strongest, either through some manufacturing thing or just pure pilot skill.

I was a fan of Blaster Master since I was 4 years old. It just had something about its movement, music, visual design (the tank is cute/cool tho), etc. Like there wasn't anything that stood out particularly (aside from it being a proto-metroidvania way back when). but the whole package just had something about it.

and then i realized how (relatively) obscure the game is and how no one will make a sequel to it.
and how no one doubly would make a sequel like 30 years later.
and how no one triply would make it in the same style/story/etc, it'd just be a new reboot, it's just not big enough to get the Sonic Mania treatment.
and then i realized there were sequels years later but they didn't really feel like sequels and they sucked. and that made hope of a yet another sequel that would also ignore those sequels to that obscure game even more miniscule, unreal.

and then inti game and did it.
did all of it.
all those years later.
and not only did they do it, they blew it out of the fucking park (even though I felt like BMZ3 was pretty lacking after 2, but was saved by the kino ending).
this happens like once in a lifetime or something.
it felt so unreal.
it felt so cathartic.
