Progression has been reworked a bit and feels better. Exploration and collection too. Just improvements across the board, no notes. Classic revenge story on its surface sounds less interesting than GOT's fighting back Mongol invaders and Jin's honor conflict, but execution feels much better. As much as I loved GOT, the side stories and main story flashbacks kind of stumbled and felt awkward at times but there was none of that here. If you loved GOT and were on the fence bc of the online discourse, just go for it. It's so good. Don't let these people keep you from enjoying an excellent game.

You are going to see some automatic 1s with this game but I can tell you now there's no woke factor or anything like this, it's just a good very smooth running (doesn't need VRR) properly made game, with extreme violence and very good combat. Take your time, ride around, all the missions tie into each other automatically, you don't need to fast travel or accept missions or do anything in order. Just enjoy your life, enjoy the time in the game. I'm in no rush so hopefully don't finish it for a few months yet but I've seen enough to know how good it is.

It's kind of weird playing "AAA on a budget" since the animations are basically the same and thus outdated and the stock cutscenes are wack, but I like it. It's fun.
