DROD is by far the best puzzle game series I've ever played.if you want to get into the series here's a few tips:1. It is a deterministic puzzle game, your goal is to kill all monsters and leave the room.2. If you want more there are tons of official add-on holds and tons of fanmade holds, one of which has like 400 hours of content "King Hesper"3. Here is what you need to do to buy it the most efficient way:DO NOT BUY DROD ON GOG, they are outdated and shit.You want to go on Steam, look up "Gunthro and the Epic Blunder" which is DROD 4. Buy that and under the DLC store you can find all the official add-ons "Smitemaster's Selections" but you will also find "King Dugan's Dungeon" "Journey to Rooted Hold" and "The City Beneath"These are DROD 1-3. Because DROD 4 uses the latest engine version, 5.0, they decided to just port the games to the latest engine instead of doing rereleases.so tl;drBuy Gunthro and the Epic Blunder, buy DROD 1-3 as DLC and any Smitemaster Selections you want, and buy DROD 5 "The Second Sky" which is a standalone steam release.If you wanna play fan holds you can use Gunthro or Second Sky because they both use the latest engine and have feature parity.I recommend playing Gunthro first because it was specifically made to be an beginner entry for new players and is a prequel
