It's time for /v/ to admit that Galaxy 1 is really shite - especially compared to 2.

It's just so unbelievably boring.

Galaxy 2 is a 9/10, Galaxy 1 is a 10/10.

First game > Sequel
Always.

Yeah... im thinking PWNED.

Why do adults play Mario games? By the same logic, shouldn't they also be watching Pepa Pig,Cocomelon and the Teletubbies? Why does Mario get a pass when children's cartoons don't?

Yep
Galaxy was the first game to casualise 3D Mario.
Galaxy 2 was much better but still not the perfect freedom of SM64 and SMS.
Luckily Odyssey and Bowser's Fury are back in the right direction. I really hope they never go back to the Galaxy formula.

move odyssey to the top of S and put sunshine right behind it and I'll your list good enough
>>
>>722506798
I replayed it recently, just as good as when I first played it. Actual 9-10/10
I tried playing 3d World again and just fell asleep three levels in
>>
>>722510139
>Sunshine in S tier
You're alright anon
>>
>>722510623
3D World really takes a few worlds to get the ball rolling. Those post game worlds are honestly fucking great.
>>
>>722509643
Because Mario has enough depth to be interesting even to adults, the other things you mentioned don't
>>
>>722510139
sunshine??? it has like 4 levels LMAO
>>
>>722513743
>t. didn't play the game
>>
>>722514218
literally did. was wondering when the next level would unlock and I found out that was all of them LMAO

and the final "level" is the worst one
>>
>>722514426
>2 hubs
>7 full levels (some with 2 separate areas) with 9 Shines each = 63
>20 secret areas, some with more than 1 Shine
>1 final boss level
Clear as day that you're a salty Galaxy fan, mad that the recent overpriced re-release has given everyone Galaxy fatigue and everyone is starting to realise that Sunshine is the superior game.

Any 5 year old can beat a Mario game. But only a real gamer can 100% a Mario game. That's the beauty of these games, no matter how old I get they never stop being fun. Some things in life are immortal.

Like things like Scooby Doo or the Flintstones, sure they were made for kids. But they are written such that even an adult could find some entertainment from them. Gaming being a medium that is active unlike the passive medium of consuming movies/shows opens the door to them lasting far longer in people's minds.

Good gameplay is immortal. It never stops being fun no matter how old you get. At best, there is a point where you have mastered the game so well that it no longer feels like much of a challenge. Clearing Mario levels might become as rote as playing a piano song, but even something as choreographed as that can still have soulfulness and uniqueness to how the piano is played. The beauty of Mario games is that can actually take a lifetime to happen, this is why even old people still love the games.

kek there's a reason there's no Sunshine remaster. Sunshine will be plopped on Gamecube emulator as one of many games you get, Galaxy 1+2 remaster is going to sell at LEAST 10 million copies of each game. And I am not even a Galaxy fag, I am a devout 64/Odyssey bro.
