why aren't there Frozen video games? every Disney movie had it in the '90s and '00sit's very strange when this franchise is the most profitable
It KH3's Frozen world is anything to go by then you wouldn't be able to do shit in a game set in it, and a movie game would be completely redundant since the film already exists.
Video game production got too expensive so they don't really make adaptations anymore.

Software engineers make more (as other competing software jobs emerged that pay shitloads), 3D games require more time and artists than old 2D sidescrollers did, sound design costs more because you need real music instead of just a handful of catchy chiptunes, and there's just tons more games being made as competition. No one is usually gonna buy some crappy licensed game when there's some big triple-A title coming out the same week. The cost of making and marketing a game is huge and high-risk. Comparatively, selling T-shirts and lunchboxes is extremely low risk and high return, so most companies just do that now and ignore video games unless they can figure out how to make a highly-monetized phone game, which makes shitloads more money than all other types of games. That's why it's the most common form of licensed game today.
