I feel like you could take all of the drive system mechanic out of the game and end up with a net improvement. It's satisfying to counter a drive impact but it's not worth it. Am I alone on this? I don't really follow the FGC.

Some matches I steam roll the AI but others the AI plays like it's reading every single one of my inputs. I also noticed that the Sim Sim AI just waits for you to do something. I'll just sit there and the AI won't move at all. The moment I throw out a move, it counters my move and I get punished with a massive combo. I imagine that's what high level gameplay is like?

Now that the game has been out for a while, I feel like there is one change that could drastically improve the game, and it’s a very simple one. Start rounds with empty drive meter. It’s the first mainline sf where we start with full meter and honestly I thought from the start it was bad. I understood they wanted players to heavily rely on universal mechanics but now that drive rush has been completely understood by players, it’s just too strong to have it at the start of a round.

I hate remakes in general but they really must remake ssf4ae 2012. Make the exact same game with similar but less cartoony graphics, add good network code and add all the modern qol things especially the training mode options of sf6. Make it 30 dollars with all costumes already unlocked. Monetize by making official online tournaments that you have to pay for to enter.
