3D Sonic is hideous nowadays, be it in the games or promotional artwork, why would a Japanese guy who've never heard of Sonic before choose pic related over an aesthetically pleasing gacha girl or a JRPG.The only thing keeping Sonic afloat in the west are long time fans who have a soft spot for what he was.
