>>722530358You should pickup the Digimon the movies Blu ray they released last year. Got all the (living) old dub VAs to redub the Japanese specials that got stitched together to make the American theatrical movie. It also still includes that movie with its original soundtrack.

Bunch of kids fall into a worm hole into the Digital World and have to not die, they find Digimon to help them not die. Goes from that to the usual beating the bad guys to save the world.Season 2 did the impossible by actually having anime characters grow up, so it's a new cast of kids. It introduces more human villains, including another kid who treats things like a video game and kills Digimon like NPCs. Gets weird towards the end but it all fits with the emotional themes of the season.Season 3 is stand alone and has the best character development because it focuses on a smaller cast of characters. Also gets weird towards the end, but again not without reason and it fulfills character arcs while doing so.Those are the seasons I'd recommend checking out. If you like what you see you could check out others.

Not sure if it’s got the old protags like Re:Digitize, but datamines hint that Cyber Sleuth and Next Order characters might show up (or maybe they’re already in and nobody’s unlocked them yet). Also has post-game dungeons tied to the Olympos XII challenge with their own little story arc and few side quests for some obscure Digimons.

Ok I know the new season barely started, but hear me out on my next digimon anime idea>The show follows what is basically a Digimon version of Team Rocket.>They use a ragtag team of obscure digimon like funbeemon, clearagumon, shamamon...>While the chosen children that they try to capture have their set in stone evolution line, these guys can evolve to almost anything similar to what is seen in Time Stranger (both forward and backwards) but they have no control over it>Every evolution they have must have a precedence in some previous Digimon media>The fun of the show comes from seeing what new digimon they evolve to this time and how it fucks over their plans>Takes heavy inspiration from 90's cartoons like Dick Dastardly, Wile E. The only dubs that were good with the first 4 seasons were Tamers and Frontier. Adventure and 02 relied way too much on adding in completely nonsensical lines.
