SMTVV is one of the best simply due to the polish and production values. Which aren't amazing but the bar for JRPG's is so dreadfully low. Controlling your character feels fairly good, you actually see different monsters moving around in the overworld, and combat has nice animations and attention to detail. Even has proper mouse and keyboard support on PC. It's a shame most JRPG's don't give a shit about stuff like this
