More points to the team that stay the longest in top 3, the team that attacks the most players with items, uses the most item, are my suggestions.

What the fuck is up with the single player difficulty with the rival racers? Something is completely fucking borked once in a while. I just did a gp against a level 5 and didn't have too much trouble getting 1st and then bumped it back down to 3 for an easy win on the last cup.... or so I fucking thought. I straight up couldn't beat my rival on the last race not matter what. I retried 7 fucking times and then just accepted 2nd place. This isn't the first time that's happened as well where I'll lower the rival difficulty and it's harder, like what the fuck lol.
