Is anyone else getting Tokyo fatigue in JRPGs? How many freaking times do we need a game set in Shibuya/Shinjuku/Ueno/Ginza/Tokyo gawd damn.
The only two other places that matter in Japan and wouldn't be "Tokyo 2.0" or "Rural Japan" are Osaka and Hokkaido.
I will take fictional tokyo any time over whatever indian shithole your average european/american neighborhood is turning into
>>722529349It's not just Tokyo.IRL average day cities in general as a setting for a game can be countrproductive imo to the whole thing games are meant to be (escapism). At least make them more fantasy-esque or sci-fi esqueHell, make it post apocalyptic
I live in Shibuya and don't have any fatigue
>>722529524hey racist sherlock holmes, when have we had an mainstream "jrpg" based in america
>>722529524The average place in Europe has way less immigration than Tokyo
>>722529349NEED more jarpigs in lesotho and timor leste...
>>722529593 (me)>It's not just Tokyo.Meant to clarify that it's not just in JRPGs too
>>722529349It should be a fictional city...I don't need 1:1 train stations of real life maps :/
>>722529630NTA but xe said xey/xem want the same old same old they like forever, over a new thing they know they won't like. The commonality or rareness of Murikkkan or Eurabian settings were not mentioned nor a factor in xer post
Make a JRPG set in Okinawa with a bunch of brown girls
Any games set on Shikoku?
