Any GTO fans out there? Im in Stage 3 and the car handles well with some settings tweaked, but I feel like every normal opponent beats my ass off the line if I dont nitro to get an early head start. I think it's my gear ratios but I've tried about 20 different configurations by racing Mr Tempo in one of the PA's and it doesn't feel like I can either pull ahead or at least out pace them in the mid range.

I don't think it's possible to accelerate much further than this, this NA2 is the fastest car I discovered, 525 km/h, with tuner and nitro, I hit 562 km/h. GTR topped at 548 km/h and the LFA at 543 km/h. Looks like my work is done.

Negative camber, with more on the front than the rear, I use -2, -1 personally. Lower your ride Height by about -3, some cars that are already low are better at -2. Beyond that, stiffen your springs:damper in a 1:2 or 1:3 ratio, I tend to prefer how 1:3 feels personally. The damper balance doesn't need to move much at all. Once you get to stabilizer tuning, set it up so that the front is negative and the rear is positive.All of that together should start making your car oversteer instead of understeering, but at high speeds the momentum of the body roll is still going to cause understeer, just less of it. The last parts are your brake balance and LSD, I like to put -1 on the front brakes, as for the LSD it depends how comfortable you are with the car. +6,+5 is good to start with, but if you really want to put power down then going closer to +10 can help.

Like, 40 km/h between each or something?besides 1st and 2nd as mentioned, don't make any changes to other ratios until you're happy with the results. then there's no need to be autistic and touch the individual gear ratios.if you do want to be autistic and touch them regardless, then you want to tweak them based on RPM increases and decreases. every engine has a value that shows "MAX POWER AT THIS RPM" (pic related) which, as the name implies, is the specific RPM when the engine develops maximum power output. and because we're in a racing game and want to go fast, that's the number we want to be at all times. but since we're not using CVT and we have gears, we have to make due with RPM range that we want to be within to keep as close to the MAX POWER RPM value as much as possible. and that range is MEME BANDso first, you have to get there as quick as possible, and you do that by making the gear short (high ratio), in our case, moving it to the right in setting. great, we have done that and reached our peak power immediately and accelerate super fast until we hit redline. which isn't an issue, just shift up, into another short gear so we keep within the power band and keep accelerating super fast until we hit redline and shift up once more. getting us to like 130km/h immediately and then... we run out of gears (you can test this my moving everything to the right). so actually, while we want to hit our magic RPM number as quick as possible, we then want to keep being there as long as possible before having to inevitably shift up. and we can do that by making our gear tall (moving bar to left). then we can keep accelerating longer, getting to higher max speed in that gear.. but... then we've made our gear taller, not shorter, which also means we spend more time at lower RPMs where our power output is lower, making us accelerate slower before we get there. and... now you see the conundrum.

I’m glad these threads (and game) are popular. TXR has always been a way for me to save money from playing Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune at the arcade. I know I can always emulate the games on Teknoparrot but I don’t always feel like bringing my racing setup out (and WMMT is boring without friends).

I just got to Stage 5 and the speeds that some of these opponent racers are cornering at is absolute bullshit.
