>>722536824The only way I think everyone will be satisfied is a remaster of Ultimate, but with new dlc characters added. I think licensing wise, it'd be the easiest way to retain a lot of the guest characters and as well as not having to rebuild every character again for a new game. As shit as it sounds making it a live-service lite game with new characters every so often would at the very least keep people active and happy with the game. It will probably mean a lot of garbage literal-who characters in between the actually interesting ones though.

You would essentially be forced to use the 3 team member system but you might not be able to choose whomever you want if they're all too similar in type because then you would never win against a "balanced" team, which isn't fun. Plus if each move is type based then that means you're only really allowed to use certain moves when going up against certain characters which is also very unfun. Why do pokefags even like this shit and what makes you think it works with Smash? It's an entirely different, more fun focused, game design philosophy.
