Nintendo said Ultimate was the logical conclusion to Smash. Stating that there wasn't really anything else to do with the franchise, other than to do a complete redo. I believe the following are the core mechanics to Smash, changing these are out of the question. >platform based fighting>percentage based damage>knockouts are done by sending the opponent off stage. Anything else could be changed in an attempt to breath new air in the franchise. What would that look like??
