This is my frontleading antibagging build. It's been very effective in the short time I've been using it. Frontlead the whole time while hoarding defensive items and saving boosts for shortcuts. Watched the first Sonic film the other day. I liked it more than I thought I would. Got some solid laughs out of me.

The other issue is that it's either ring boost or perfect drift charge for bonus speed outside of drifting. Rings are usually in big lines on turns and only appear on the inside of turns during lap 3 so it's an inconsistent boost. Perfect drift charge is fantastic and a constant boost if you do them consistently but it's another plate to spin on top of snaking, not to mention you're liable to find yourself unable to capitalize on it because of particularly long turns where you can't release a drift without crashing into a wall or flying off the track.
