They aren't going to transfer it to pixelart and they certainly aren't going to restrict themselves in color palette in order to make their artwork into pixelart. There's just no value in it.And on the other hand, anyone who wants to make something pixely is just not going to have the art skills to draw that many images and then convert them into pixels. Their skills will leave only much simpler art projects available, like with 8-bit games or simpler, where a single artist could reasonably handle the entire job by themselves.

I miss this type of style in VNs so much. Fully colored characters with the background being painted one or two only. It makes the CG where everything is fully colored really pop.
