Muslim Iron Man?
>>
How the fuck can EA be in debt when they've got Ultimate Team gacha shit in all their sports games?
>>
>>722550996
Most of the profits were siphoned off by EA executives, leading to company losses.
And then there's the production of terrible games like Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Of course, EA is still ten times better than Ubisoft.
>>
>>722550996
the execs at EA are literally like the people from The Wolf of Wall-street
>>

Most rich people leverage their "company stock options" as debt that has to be paid out by the company for its supposed value. It's literally how rich people don't pay taxes on shit they have to buy because it never turned into "real" cash.

because $20 billion of the $55 billion that the saudis plus a jew paid for EA was in a loan, meaning they just passed that loan on to the company they just bought. Meaning that yes, the saudis plus the jew paid $55 billion. But EA is now technically $20 billion in debt, so they are expected to undergo some major cost-cutting to pay off their newly found $20 billion debt
yes, you don't hate jews enough

>because $20 billion of the $55 billion that the saudis plus a jew paid for EA was in a loan, meaning they just passed that loan on to the company they just bought
Same thing that happened to Toys'R'Us and hundreds of other businesses. It's all just a shell game.
>>
>>722553810
>It's all just a shell game.
It's not entirely like that—EA shareholders did make money by selling the company.
As for the $20 billion in debt, that's the new owners' problem.
They'll definitely shut down BioWare.
>>
>>722550996
the leveraged buyout came with 20 billion dollars of debt
when you use leverage to buy something you have to pay it back
>>
I don't understand how the fuck did they pull out these massive debts?
Like, 20b is more than enough to sustain the entire company for decades.

EA has a large number of unused IPs available for sale. Aside from sports titles, Battlefield, and Apex Legends, the rest of their IPs hold little value. They should be sold off.
>>
>>722550894
Yes. Every time Tony get depressed, he will get drunk on the atmosphere and juiced date fruit.

EA acquired the debt WHEN the Saudis bought it. I don't know how to works and it's probably illegal in some way but it happened.

EA was profitable, but now it is a private company, and owes a lot of people from one day to the other

I will explain in a very simple manner: EA was a public company on the stock market, so you could go there and buy shares. That means EA didn't have one owner, it have THOUSANDS, HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of owners who each own a small share of EA. Now comes company X and buys EA. That means this company have to pay every single shareholder their fair part at the time of acquisition
They didn't have enough money for that. So, company X took a loan of 20b.
Now company X, who bought EA, have a 20 billion dollars loan to pay. And EA, that was once a public company, now is fully private, just like Steam

Did you get it now?

That's kind of how Warner Bros. dodged their debt by splitting up with Discovery isn't it?

One of Tony's most consistent character traits in the comics is that he doesn't drink after the Demon In A Bottle arc.
>>
>>722557681
no they're still in debt, so much debt that they tried to prop up superman as a big hit to get paramount or netflix to buy them

No, those are two totally different issues.

Warner split with Discovery, and let most of the debt in Discovery's ass, to clean Warner's credit name, and make it still operable.

EA was bought out and switched from public to private company, and had to pay every single shareholder their share to do so, and a loan was necessary for that, which now rests on the people that bought EA, so, EA itself.
>>
>>722557681
Also, it's pretty obvious that this split happened so that in worse case scenario, Discovery goes bankrupt while Warner still remains on foot

They managed to pay out half of their debt though, but it is still fucking huge
>>
Who gives a 20 billion loan to buy fucking EA?
>>
Remember that time BioWare made an Iron Man game but EA didn't let them use the Iron Man IP so they called their Iron Man game Anthem instead?
The whole game was about flying around in Iron Man suits and grinding new guns which were shittier than your starting hand blaster. god what a dumb game.
>>
>>722558867
Actually the flying was because an EA executive liked it iirc.

BioWare is actually just subhumanly retarded.
>>
>>722558054
>which now rests on the people that bought EA
The Saudi prince? I doubt money's a problem for him.
>>
>>722559041
That executive should be directing games, because flying was the only memorable thing in that game

Problem is especially the older ones that used to have some clout. Like fucking Ultima or something.
You'd think your worst nightmare as an Origin fan would be that and wing commander winding up in the hands of someone who wants to milk rereleases like Randy Pitchford, but you'd be wrong.
The worst scenario in 2025 would be Richard Garriot or Chris Roberts getting the rights to them back.
>>
>>722562576
Given that most of EA's older IPs are already dead, most people no longer care who the new Saudi owners sell the IP to.
After all, if it stays locked away in storage, it remains nothing more than a dead IP.
I really hope Larian Studios can acquire the Dragon Age IP and launch a Dragon Age: Origins remake.

Sometimes. Dead is better.
