>Who is your favorite video game villain?
Giygas.
>Who is the best video game villain?
I honestly think it's Giygas because of how much of a mirror he is to Ness' hope. That this thing went into literal mental retardation out of fear of Ness is such a bizarre concept for a villain.
Like it's almost as if Giygas is not even going to kill Ness in their confrontation; he probably can't consider such a thing in his mental state. That there's this eerie feeling that Giygas' going to drag Ness into a hivemind of fear, to make this child become one with his fear on a complete accident. To drag Ness and his friends, and then everyone else in the universe into that hivemind loss, until all are basically Giygas, is a perfect description of a universe that falls into infinite darkNESS.
As a kid I just saw him as a scary monster, and he still is, but I think me being able to craft such a observation as I got older shows the naivety of my childhood. And somehow I think that works super well with a game like EB.
>Who is the worst video game villain?
Skullface.
>Who is your least favorite video game vilian?
Arkham Knight Scarecrow because it's another Joker wank game.

Thanks for replying. I always drawn to the Giygas hivemind concept too, it's kind of not stated directly in the game but that's read between the lines. It's a powerful pyschic being having a mental breakdown which results in people going evil and crazy, thinking they're serving this being.

Well /v/ I'm sorry I made a thread about video games and not sex in video games. My bad.

Earthbounds le cringe

And thanks for giving me the opportunity to talk about it a bit. It really is one of the crazier things I've seen in fiction that I've been obsessed with it for years now and being able to speak about it is nice.

The tragedy of /v/.

Earthbound is too lib-coded for /v/. Should have chosen Spehiroth as your image (Black guys love Spehiroth).

>Who is your favorite video game villain?
Nrvnsqr because this nigga cool.
>Who is the best video game villain?
Probably Bowser, for longevity and being able to pull of a variety of narrative roles pretty well for someone who was originally just a basic antagonist.
>Who is the worst video game villain?
I wouldn't even know how to answer this because I'm sure it's from some shit game 5 people played.
>Who is your least favorite video game vilian?
Probably Delta from ZTD for being a complete disappointment in every respect except unintentional comedy.
>>
after looking at giygas i legit can't think of a cooler villain. you won the thread with the first post OP.

Hard question, but I'd say Shadowlord I guess
>Who is the worst video game villain?
Also hard, probably a villain of some random game on early access
>Who is your least favorite video game vilian?
Ghirahim from Zelda SS

Giygas has stuck with me as my favorite boss. I actually like The_None's interpretation of Giygas in MUGEN. Introduced me to the Mother series, which made me appreciate the creator's creativity after beating Earthbound. It also references other games (Ao Oni, Eternal Champions).

Never beat it without a cheap character, the second phase has too much flashing lights/static along with instant death traps that I can't beat.

I've never seen Earthbound as lib-coded. I played it as a kid. 4chan's contrarian ass needs to grow up out of
>SOMEONE I DONT LIKE, LIKES [THING]?????
>SO I HATE [THING]!!!!!!

4chan (more like reddit because 99% of the posters are redditors) operates on this immature stupidity over this. Anons need to learn to curate their own tastes based on their own enjoyment of things.

Yeah Earthbound felt like it was delving into these way deeper subjects, but you had to be privy to it.
It goes really into MKULTRA too. I've been joking around for years saying the game is actually about MKULTRA and experimenting on kids and people to get PSI powers.

I like your answer on Bowser, he's definitely the most popular well known vidya villain now. And Sepiroth.

I didn't know about MUGEN, that's a cool reference.
