OG or Special Edition? Somehow I have the feeling that the OG version looks grittier.
no one?
>>722569209I only have the Anniversary Edition; upgraded from the Special Edition, and it seems okay.
Special Edition for unmodded its of course on sale but I cant see myself playing the game again without Requiem and no idea if that made its way to SE
Special Edition (and later) is literally just OG with more stuff. The "grit" is baked into Skyrim.
>>722569209>unmodden Skyrim
>>722569209I recentlyish did a SE unmodded playthru of all the expansions to get achievements and it was ok. it was refreshing playing the game without it crashing every 5 minutes or having characters clip through walls n shit. vanilla is ugly as sin though
>>722569209Original, raw dog the jankshit coding of the turn of the decade 2010s
>>722569731>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xoer2MCSrzcit looks somewhat different when it comes to atmosphere and lighting.
>>722569769>basedrim>not crashing every 5 minutes even without modsI'm calling cap bruh.
>>722569813Skyrim never crashed without mods.
>>722569209>OG version looks grittier.OG version looks washed out
>>722569209>unmodded Skyrim
>>722569209Special.Don't bother actually, the game is fucking boring unless you're a nostalgiafag.
>>722569759Because its dope
>>722569759>unmodden
unmodden Skyrim is like playing unmodden Morrowind. The only way.
>>722569759It's practically impossible to engage with video game modding without technically supporting someone I want to see executed in public.
>>722569209The original version is 32-bit. It will crash if you plan on running it in 4k.
>>722569209LE looks better modded and unmodded. The utility of SSE is that it’s 64-bit and will almost never crash when heavily modded. But if you aren’t using mods, then that feature is pointless
>>722570958As time passes, modern systems will drop support for 32 bit programs entirely, so eventually it'll be SE/AE only outside of running older games through virtual machines, older hardware or third party programs to provide a compatibility layer.
>>722571095I don't see it happening until 128-bit systems become the norm, and neither of us will be alive to see that.
>>722571219I doubt it'll happen at all, our lifetimes or not
>>722569209SE, install the mod to give you DLSS or FSR 3.1 anti aliasing to replaced the dogshit TAA
>>722571672>install the mod to give you DLSS?
I played Skyrim the last time in 2013. I downloaded the OG today.
>>722570276I'm calling cap bruh. Stop capping.
