I'd recommend playing on normal. The game gets a lot harder later on. Though, I've only played the original so I dont know if the remake is easier.

Unironically nightmare.
It will make you use think about accessories and orbments.
Sure you might struggle against first boss but once you get used to it will be fun.
You can always decrease the difficulty if you will find it too hard.
