I never beat the final boss

I just leave the game before that. I don't want to feel like it's over, by not finishing it I can pretend the adventure is still going on in my head forever

Why do some people rewatch or replay movies, series, and games they enjoy, while others have a one-time-only mentality?

Replaying games is mentally ill
>>
>>722572982
I can't replay games right away
enough time must pass first
>>
>those moments when you just finished the main quest and skipped the boring side quests and all that remains is the exit the game and delete

i'm one time only mentality. replaying anything feels pointless once I already know what happens.
>>

>wtf I can't play this now that I know the MC wins in the end

This. If you don't believe me see speedrunners.
>>
>>722573437
>>722573067
you're telling me you never felt the urge to replay your favorite childhood game?
>>
>>722572982
because some people are able to enjoy the things they like while others have "backlogs" and a checklist mentality
>>
>>722573471
No, I already played it
>>
Why do some people replay games while others decide once is enough?
>>
>>722573423
i’m not referring to the story but to the levels and gameplay and the map etc. i hardly ever care about the story.
>>
>>722572982
>>722573548
One group are people who actually enjoy things, the others are normalfags who must consume product.
>>
>>722573494
Soulless.
>>
>>722573437
I get that speedrunners are mostly trannies but what's wrong with someone casually replaying a game they liked 5-10 years down the line?
>>

This is why I only listen to songs once.
>>

Chara, is that you?
>>
>>722572550
I just finished ff16 yesterday and no way in hell I'm doing all sidequests. I just wanted to be done and delete the game. The sidequests in that game are so fucking awful.
>>

You didn't finish 137 games this year. You played them for 2h each at most
>>
>>722574239

If I can't finish a game from start to finish in one sitting I will not finish it. The chances of me picking it up again another day is slim.

I hate how the 6 - 12 hour games have disappeared. I don't even bother booting up open world games because it's a guaranteed time sink

anything that interests me, really. finished neon white today, it was great
>>
>when you finished all the side quests
How would you know when you have? Wiki-following faggot, or modern slop that gives you a checklist of everything that is in the game.

>Finish 100+ hour RPG like Fallout 3 or Oblivion
>Gather up all my items put them in a house or one of the cool bases I've unlocked
>Take one companion that I really like with me
>Sit down in a chair and admire my character build and outfit
>Close the game and log off after a 150+ hour playthrough knowing that the world is safe and then go outside if it's a beautiful day to enjoy the sun

Anyone else?

>tfw when you play shit games that have zero replayability
>>
>>722574859
I like this one more
>The world gets destroyed so all the quests you haven't done auto fail
>>
>>722572982
I am an adhd zoomer who has to replay games to do all the many actual content I missed the last time I played. But once I have done all the actual content I don't usually come back to it.
>>
>>722576542
Why don't you just do all the content the first time through
>>
>>722576776
I am usually too enamored with the new story to stop and do a bunch of sidequests. It doesn't help that so many games make the main story some urgent crisis that needs to be solved immediately.

If only there was actual content in the Unmoored World for more than 2-3 hours.
