>want to try flight sim>need $1000 worth of equipments to even start playing it>dont even know if you are going to like it or notare there any other genre that required such investment?
driving a car is similar. you dont even know if you like it and then you have to keep paying monthly for insurance, taxes, inspection, tires, oil change, tolls on highways, washing it and the priviledge of parking. its probably the biggest scam ever invented
>want to be OP>need 1000 dicks worth of faggotry to even start making threads like this>dont even know if you are going to like it or notare there any other planes of existence that required such investment?
>>722575243>I'm retarded yeah we know
Why do avaiation fans do this ? I have like 40 flight hrs (with an instructor) and I dont even want to become a pilot I just like cheap flight sessions and a meal afterwards and it costs me maybe $300 all together across 3 years, hell they give them away at raffels for kids.
not trueplayed flight simulator on an xbox controller for yearsbought a basic flight sticklearned I prefered to play on my controllersimple as that
>>722575243>>722575757Many pilots are obsessed with flying and enjoy almost every detail of it
I get games like IL-2 or DCSyou at least get to fly around in combat aircraft doing cool stuffs but I dont get the Microsoft Flight sim people whats fun about just flying passenger planes or some floating washing machine?its like getting on some driving game and be likeyeah I'm going to drive around in a Hyundai Sonata instead of Ferrari or F1 cars
>>722575243>>need $1000 worth of equipments to even start playing itNo.
>>722575243>Grab a gamepad, preferably one with several extra buttons >Shove it in Steam Input and stacks multiple key binds on every button >Use gyro as makeshift head tracker There you go, solid flight sim experience https://youtu.be/c8KCelwEkCQ
>>722575243Does that game really not have keyboard+mouse controls?
I play DCS with mouse and keyboard.
>>722575243Buy a quest and get vtol vr
>>722575437I pay $600 once per year in insurance and $50 once per year in taxes. Oil costs $30 to change every 6 months and tires cost $200 every couple of years. Honestly I spend more money on eating real food that's good for me than I do on my car.
>>722576692Most racing sim games are developed from the ground up for maximum groid appreciation and yet huwhite autists will still dump $1000s on peripherals for it. Farming simulator has barebones simulation mechanics and people will shell out big money for pedals and wheels. With the level of immersion dcs provides it’s a real standout in the simulator community
>>722578593>With the level of immersion dcs provides it’s a real standout in the simulator communityThe only "level of immersion" DCS provides is flicking switches and pushing buttons in a cockpit. Everything else is as barebones as it gets.
