I know I'm really late for the news, but I just came across the teaser for FE and looked at some theories.I'm not sure if any anons suggested this idea already, but what if Sothis was reborn as Byleth's child? It's one of the few reasons I can come up with to explain this game being a sequel and not a prequel, because there were no heroes relics before she died.The fact this game is set in Dagda though throws me off still.

>>722578198Byleth can choose not to have children, whether via not marrying anyone or by having a homosexual marriage. Marrying the fragment of Sothis in his/her head would also result in Byleth not having kids. It's more likely that the new game is going to be a prequel.
