Step 1 - Stop buying live service games.
Step 2 - Developers stop making live service games.
Step 3 - Developers can no longer kill live service games because they're not making good games.
Step 4 - Enforce 4chan's long existing rules against eceleb threads.

Initiative met the threshold and way beyond.
Votes are currently being counted, but apparently like 98% of them are legit.
After that is done we're waiting for it to go to the EU parliament. This is a long process and there is not much to do right now except waiting.
Zoomers don't really have the attention span for waiting this long, so they'll call it failed.

I like schizo posts. They're always entertaining. We must be better schizos.

Buorocracy takes time. Nothing hasn't happened yet.
>>

The initiative reached its goal, and now we're waiting for a decision, which could take up to a year if not more
>>
>>722579305
The doomsissies that kept saying that most of the votes got raped, since the votes had been confirmed 97% legit. The process of counting is still being finalized, parlamientary hearings are tba, but it is already guaranteed a hearing, because it is by far the most successful initiative of all ever launched with a massive international turnover.

A large majority of the population have no convictions nor morals. Despite loudly proclaiming the opposite. Keep fighting the good fight anon.
>>
>>722591115
It's not a petition, it has the same legislative power as the process of voting and it is taken seriously by the government.
>>

Yeah, some people tried that when CoD moved away from dedicated servers, it didn't work for very long, because people with no standards would just buy anyway. There's also nothing stopping companies from just pushing updates to indefinitely functional games and rendering them non-functional, and this is being done across the software industry already.
The only correct and viable move is to disincentivize companies from taking the responsibility of hosting their own infrastructure that they need to keep functional, as well as preventing companies from forcefully sunsetting their software.
In theory the best move would be to kill the DMCA and force all abandonware to adopt a copyleft license, but how the fuck would you even get that past lawmakers?

Real change happens slow.
Be loud, but be patient.
