>>722580059Wait is the new Digimon good?
>>722583135>heavily restricts you during missionsPeople dont understand this and complain because they are retards. All R* games are scripted. Shit CP2077 is also heavily scripted.Shit I was playing dying light recently and seen how they despawn zombies in missions in the open world, i.e script the engagement, and why...because of variables.these games rely upon interaction with the radiant AI and the AI has so many variables that if in rockstars case, they let the AI be free and do what it can do, you, as the player may never be able to complete the mission. It may get broken, brick your save or just not be able to be completed. All GTA games have scripted the missions, because they have to, it is just the nature of open world games. Difference is, can they hide it or not.GTA 1-3 they hid it well, GTA VC and SA they despawned most of the AI. I cannot remember how they dealt with in in IV. RDR1 and 2 they scripted the AI but in RDR2 there are too many variables that they script the missions even more strictly, compared to RDR1 where most of the game was barren and there was little AI about in the world.Essentially the more AI there are in the world they only have 2 options to deal with the AI in missions. Despawn them or heavily script the AI. RDR2 they chose the latter so yes it feels restricting. The thing is, like all R* games, the fun of the game is interacting with that AI in the open world and in RDR 2 case there is so much attention to detail and things to do and explore etc that it makes the open world a brilliant exploration/sim game and the missions are rather short scripted story segments.
