I don't think there's a single time where building a bridge felt necessary. Everything can just be forded by your pickup truck. Almost every mountain can be climbed by your pickup truck. Every new gameplay concept introduced is quickly abandoned or so inconsequential you don't even have to think about it (sandstorms, rising water levels, gate quakes, BT Pokemon fights). No emergent moments just drivin me truck. The orders that actually require you to use a single neuron are so few and far between they aren't even notable.The combat and stealth is "better" than the first game but to very little effect considering the biggest camp in the game has like 16 dudes that can just be blown away by an assault rifle or two. You have a million toys at your disposal but very little reason to use them. What the fuck is with the 10 different rocket launchers BTW? Is this Earth Defense Force?There is a higher emphasis on building roads for weird completionist retards and it's even grindier than the last game. Especially stupid considering how unnecessary building roads at all feels.The story starts out too dour and cynical and the conclusion is extremely unsatisfying, not worth discussing because spoilers but even moreso than the first game the games "lore" feels like throwing disparate ideas at the wall and seeing what sticks rather than having any sort of underlying logic or consistency.Why is this even in the contention for GOTY? Why did it review so well with publications that hated the first game? It's not just underwhelming , it's legitimately a bad game.
