One of the best things I did gaming wise was basically not touch any Nintendo products between 2004 and 2024.Emulate everything, and Nintendo stuff really does feel like a fundamentally different experience than other games.Playing BotW the last couple of days because my DS4 started working again somehow and the game is just enjoyable to play. Going to Death Mountain first to see what the Gorons are like.

My vote for a good open game is shadow of the colossus, simply because it doesnt condescend to fill all its empty space with participation trophies. Minecraft is good too.
