Would you buy an Apple console?
>>722587331But that is a banana
>>722588647wrong that's clearly a double sided dildo with a vibrator function.
>>722587331Their devices are so locked down they are practically consoles.
No, because I have a macbook pro and if they were to release a console it would 100% run on apple silicone, which would mean the games would get ported. Same reason why you didn't need an Xbox if you had a PC.
>>722587331if you own an ipad or iphone you already own an apple console, it just isn't for gamesto answer your question though, probably actually. Apple make pretty good console-like hardware already and their design philosophy is already pretty in line with modern day consoles and they're way better at actually making it happen. They won't though, because we're only a few years away from wine's proton moment. I already play most of my steam library on a macbook, the amount of actual fiddling required and performance loss you get from translation layers is shrinking every year.
>>722587331I would buy any new system with an actual novel architecture designed to do nothing but play games. It's that even possible now that everything is just modified x86 boxes?
>>722587331>trackball controllerdo want
Had they released the iGame in the early 2010s, while Jobs was still in control it would have MOGGED the competition so fucking hard.
>>722587331https://youtu.be/tyzC1fL80DQThe Apple Pippin was clearly going for the same market as the Phillips CDi, in the multi-media market. But the Pippin was aimed at Japan. The machine itself has a 66MHz PowerPC CPU, 6-8MB of RAM that is up-gradable to 16MB. No 3D acceleration.
