Just got my Steam Deck LCD I bought on the autumn sale. Is the screen supposed to look like this? It looks like a $50 white label Android tablet, this backlight bleed is some early 2000s LCD stuff. Did I mess up by not buying the OLED?

Yes it's supposed to look like that because they used althe cheapest LCD they could find.
Always go OLED on mobile devices.
