I’ll say “Good riddance.”

Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.

Can't wait for him to die and steamfags finally realize they've been jewed into not owning games. Even console babies still have disk drives

"Physical" games are only necessary on consoles, because you have very little control over what the console does.
On PC you can copy and modify files arbitrarily, so all that really matters is a lack of invasive DRM and corporate infrastructure.

I like the deck for Proton but Valve made Steam as annoying DRM for Half Life and I will never forget the origin of it. Basically all of their "pro consumer" practices have really been for their benefit, and it just so happens that it's the least bad option with the best features and return policy. No, no one will surpass them until they make a better review aggregator, forum, social platform and storefront all in one. Yes, it will get far worse if he dies and it becomes a publicly traded company.
