which of these three rpg creeds is worth playing?haven't played an ac game since origins, i gather these three are basically the same game but re-skinned, so i'm thinking if i play one i've played them all, but which one?

Then you can unlevel your gear so when you want to switch gear you can use the materials from your old gear to level the other set.Meaning you only need to loot as much as to level 1 set of gear and you never need to loot again if you dont want to.Cannot say for shadows not played it yet.Honestly the best of the RPG ass creed games is origins, its a top tier game in all areas and doesnt have much shortcomings.Plus the world is amazing with a lot of love put into it. Only unity has a better world in an ass creed game.

Odyssey is pretty much the same game as Origins but ancient Greece/Mediterranean. As someone whose introduction into this series was Origins (and loved it), Odyssey was great, the most common complaint about these games I read is that "they aren't assassin's creed games!".I went and bought physical copies of the entire series and just could NOT get into the first game, when does the series get good?

odyssey, because the setting is fantastic and a joy to explore.is fun to play as a full assassin build, target the lowly guards first and the elite at the end in case the critical assassination dont oneshot them.there is almost no moder day animus bullshit, just at the start of the game and the middle part. you can skip it all and is at most a couple of minutes, so no breaking the inmmersion with that bullshit.i hate every single one of the asscreed games, but odyssey is one of my favorite adventure games.

I thought that Valhala had the worst stealth gameplay in the series and ironically the very next game, Mirage (Ragnarok is just a standalone dlc) is tied with Unity for the best. How is Shadows in that department?

Thief dissuades from combat by making you BAD at fighting things, Asscreed makes no such attempt. Asscreed wants to be a jack of all trades, it wants to be a parkour game, a combat game and a "stealth" game and does 2 of those 3 very poorly, the only standout being the parkour thanks to the world design of the early games.
