I learned the word "pep"?When I heard and read that word, I was like, "What the hell does that mean?!"But I think it's a recent word invented and that this word has entered English popular culture. I don't think a word like "pep" can exist for real.

It's an archaic term that no English speaker uses outside of the context of "pep talk" or "pep rally" because those both have specific meanings. "Pep in your step" is something your 90 year old grandmother might say.
