As happy as I am about the switch 2 so far, there are some worrying things>3d Mario team just got done with bananza>Totk just came out with bananza>The Splatoon/Animal crossing team is working on a splatoon spinoff>Sakurai is currently working on air riders with no smash 6 in sightSeems like most of their big series are MIA and will be for the next few years
>>722601065>3d Mario team just got done with bananzaThats a separate team there's fucking 0 chance they only worked on DKB since odyssey >Totk just came out with bananzaTOTK was completed in 2022. My money is a launch title for a switch 2 pro. The timings will match perfectly >The Splatoon/Animal crossing team is working on a splatoon spinoffNot too sure on this>Sakurai is currently working on air riders with no smash 6 in sightSakurai is a fucking beast and autistic he probably already did all the shit for smash and development could be done in 2 years
>>722601065Fire Emblem was their closer for the first Direct of the Switch 2, and the biggest game-related celebration for Mario's 40th were a pair of HD Wii ports. That's fucking DIRE. >b-b-b-but those big games will definitely come! h-h-have faith! how dare you not be excited for spinoffs!Fuck you. Nintendo is not owed blind faith. They did a good job of offsetting the dry early months of the Switch 1 by giving people faith with a whole slew of tentpole announcements before the system even released, and very soon after it came out. Yes, you "just" had BotW and MK8DX in the launch window, but you also saw the 3D Mario, a new Splatoon, a new Xenoblade, a new Nintendo IP by the Mario Kart team, and more all slated for the first year (and other games for 2018 and beyond). They gave people reason to keep being actively excited for the Switch 1 and staying confident in their purchase. Nintendo has done no such thing with the Switch 2 after the initial FOMO and brand-name familiarity. Either they're holding their cards way too close to their chest for some stupid reason, or as you said, multiple devteams' pipelines for new games all just ended within a very unfortunately timed window within each other.
we have this conversation everyday1) they split the odyssey team in two. One half worked on DK Banzina2) The other half is working on Galaxy 3 which is Odyssey moveset on a modernized but still recognisable galaxy concept3) Its a soft launch of switch 2 because you dont abandon a 156m audience install base that is printing money. They WANT to sell more Switch 1 games4) Jews control global capital, media, politicians and global institutions and succeeding in their plan for white genocide5) Metroid 4 will disapoint with its forced open world elements6) Noone knows what the fuck they will do with Zelda

>>722603210>Its a soft launch of switch 2 because you dont abandon a 156m audience install base that is printing money. They WANT to sell more Switch 1 gamesCOVID was a fantastic boon in the short term, but it's now put them in an extremely tricky position for the Switch 2's first year or two.
>>722601065>3d Mario team just got done with bananzaOnly for it to fizzle. If they really wanted to play off Odyssey's formal revival of Pauline and the throwback of New Donk City for Bananza so badly, they needed to actually incorporate DK himself in some way in the game rather than brief name/sprite references, or a game released between SMO and DKB. almost like Odyssey was fucking BEGGING for DLC or something Expecting a soft reboot of DK to just land as a major Switch 2 seller and evergreen while having done nothing new with the IP during the entire Switch era was incredibly fucking stupid.
