Anyone else miss handhelds? Like -- ACTUAL handhelds, not shit like the Switch or Steam Deck?I'm talking like the GBA, PSP, DS, 3DS. Hell, even the Vita. These things had so much SOUL and there were great games for these kinds of platforms, games that wouldn't work anywhere else, especially not on home consoles, and not on mobile either.Why hasn't anyone made a new handheld platform in the vein of these old ones yet? I know there's the playdate, but that's too low spec for my tastes.

I think this at least once a week when I play on my 3DS. I can't believe what handheld gaming *used* to be. We were given pocket-sized experienced and then later unique peripherals like touch screen gaming on DS. It is no longer a period of innovation where games are unique to platforms and stronger for it.I miss novel handhelds.
