I think it’s because it’s not medieval fantasy. Fantasy WW2 isnt exactly creepy and eerie. I think Miro should’ve pushed towards Gothic horror which would’ve fit the setting more

>>722605576It's a bit more than that. The whole setting in Termina is lighter than the first. Still dark, but not as dark. It's a weird-ass corrupted city, sure. But not a putrid dark and claustrophobic dungeon. On top of that, he toned down the body and sexual horror waaaaay down for Termina. The first one felt a whole lot darker and creepier because you were constantly bombarded with taboos and explicit horror, often feeling like the game genuinely doesn't give a fuck if you're disgusted or not. On the other hand, Termina feels as if it wants to give you a haunted house ride but without offending you.
These are the two games i actually prefer to read about than actually playing it.Love the settings and lore, hate the gameplay.
