i wouldn't say that entirely. really you wanna use the burrow as a way to close the distance or maneuver away from stuff as opposed to using it as a straight up dodge roll of sorts. Like generally burrowing earlier is actually ideal compared to trying to burrow based on timing.
Thorne for example attacks using projectiles and melee moves that close the gap between you so most of the time you'd want to get around or away from him and sometimes use the burrow to get back over there quickly.
in short i just think if you adjust the way you use burrow to an overall battle context and not just defense it'll feel and make a bit more sense. though that did take me a second playthrough of the demo to actually get that

Huh. I guess it's not too surprising. I enjoyed the demo well enough but I definitely felt like the combat was far and away from Link's Awakening/Oracles. Your combat options all being in a straight line was completely different from those others which all had the 90 degree swing from the swords. I was under the impression it was in the style of those 2D Zeldas, not Zelda 1. I think literally all the 2D Zeldas that aren't Zelda 1 have the sword swing actually. For me at least, I think that's what contributed to how stiff it felt. I absolutely had to approach targets at a straight line, I can't like circle around them while maintaining the offensive. I guess it makes it harder, but it didn't feel particularly good for it.

Doubt it myself. They seemed to specifically wait for a proper date, but you also can't really reverse the disappointing marketing for the game. Delaying it would just make the situation even worse. Really see two cases. It could be a good game with bad marketing, so might as well rely on positive word of mouth at this point. The other case is that the game is bad or at least mediocre, in which case Nintendo might as well release it to take the hit now. You can't redesign a game like this without an extensive delay, and even that might be out of question. Game's already likely going to be a loss financially unless it's excellent and completely breaks expectations on top of that.

Honestly my only complaint from the demo was the some of the balance choices were strange. Mina's natural walk speed without the dig is really slow compared to Link for example who can easily get in a slashes on the enemy before safely moving in and out. Daggers felt like the weakest option because it felt like you couldn't do that type of gameplay despite them being the Zelda-inspired weapon. Fast enemies like the police officers can just smack you before you can move out of the way. Conversely, the hammer felt really good because you dig to stay mobile and pop out with a charge strike that did fat damage and knockback for added safety. Playing the game was really fun like that. I also didn't really like how sub-weapons were lost after death. I think they should make them work like Shovel Knight where you buy it from the town and then have it forever.
Also, I really wish you could just chain Mina's dig into each other, instead of having to land after surfacing once. It wouldn't break the game because Mina is still vulnerable while in mid-jump.

From the key art and demo I thought this was going to be one of those easy as piss retro nostalgia games attempting to copy zelda, but I bought and gave it an honest try and the gameplay is really engaging with well done mechanics, good challenge and puzzles.The artstyle is actually cool, the only thing lacking are expressions on the character portraits whenever they talk. Pretty sure that game isn’t even out yet, and desu turboblast is what i’d consider to be designs that capture furries interest done right. Tempo’s being a character having a massive ass is what drives attention because of everyone being surprised at how sexualized she is and everyone cooming over her. Another example would be that one horror game that had some milf character who was fucking stacked. Can’t tell you what the game’s about but every furry porn artist under the sun drew her because of how huge she was. OyT while having nice character designs, lacked that sort of eye-candy that would have furries latch onto it, thus it fell by the wayside with them. Turboblast threads are only a thing mainly because of a few select autists that overfixate on the character design, and they're fatfags, so most of the time a turboblast thread is up, the thread either dies fast or lives a bit until the fatfags show up, and then it dies
One of the main autists that spams the Turboblast threads, used to spam the mascot in the robogirl threads until he eventually kind of stopped doing that and made lots of bait threads of the mascot to draw attention, which eventually worked with how drawfags came but eventually the thread just became fatfag spam so now they die pretty fast

The only time turboblast's gameplay was actually being talked about is when the demo for it was released during the last next fest as then you had anons that actually played the game and were posting webms, but that's because they're the guys that post in next fest threads so they actually play games
