F-Zero GX and the Skies of Arcadia directors cut were kino. Viewtiful Joe too. The dark worlds in Prime 2 aren't very interesting but the light versions are. Dunno how I feel about that game.

Metroid Prime was my first Metroid game. At the time, the game looked gorgeous and the little details everyone talks about like rain hitting your visor was in Tallon Overworld was great. I'll say that, for me at least, the tutorial level, Tallon Overworld, and Phendrana Drifts were what got me on my first play through. Everything else though I didn't care for, but I just told myself I did. I get that the Prime games are beloved now, but I can't go back and finish any of the Prime games without getting bored so I just listen to the soundtrack at work or something. Basically saying that if I saw this years ago, I'd disagree with you. But today, I have to admit you're right with this too. Although I'd say it's best looked at as an adventure game than a platformer because it's not a good 3D platformer.2D Metroid is great though.
