>>7226117481's ending is fantastic, but 2's hit way harder for me because I played 2 as a kid way before 1, only remembered the absolute basics of the plot by the time I got to 1, then when I replayed 2 and realised the whole link between 1 and 2 it absolutely floored me. It's actually really interesting how the story makes sense whether or not you've played 1 or not, playing 1 just gives you a lot more context.It didn't help that I was in denial over being in grief while finishing 2 and the whole plot point about not forgetting sorrow while trying to ignore it by playing a game from my childhood was the gut punch I actually really needed.
