It is unique and while the melee combat is better than GTA, that's literally where it ends. Overall combat isn't better than GTA. The setting isn't better. The driving is dog shit horrid. And the characters and story is literally on par with GTA.

In GTA, bullet time is player-initiated and can only be used while aiming with one character (Michael). Rockstar made great gunplay with Max Payne 3 but GTA V's gunplay was absolute dogshit and so was every other GTA game.
