I had an interest in drums playing Rock band and even got an e-drum set to practice. I couldn't take it with me to college so I figured I could scratch that itch with the taiko drum club (or whatever it was called). I'll always laugh at how shocked the person seemed but I guess having a non-asian asking to join your taiko club seemed pretty out of place.

Why not just get a set of used rockband drums? It comes with 4 drums, a stand, a paddle, and real drumsticks.
