Is this just friendslop? I haven't played Mario Kart since the N64 days and I'm playing solo and it's incredibly boring and mindless. It's just a bunch of pretty colors and flashing lights but the gameplay is utterly shallow and braindead. There's not even any way to adjust the AI difficulty and I've literally won 1st place in every Grand Prix I've done so far despite having zero skill or experience. Genuinely what the fuck do people see in this game aside from just being background noise while you're drinking with friends?

I wouldn't expect to get like hundreds of hours out of it single player unless you're taking it seriously.It's a good game, but don't force yourself OP. I got like 200 hours in on Wii U but only 75 on Switch.

>>722623446 Yeah, that’s basically the gist of it. If you're not into optimizing lines or grinding time trials, it’s not gonna hold your attention for long solo. The real fun’s in competition, whether it's online or local-without that, it kinda turns into cozy background noise. Still, calling it friendslop is a bit dramatic. Not every game has to be some sweaty twitch-reflex test.
