I mean, imagine if you've composing for years and years, and everyone thinks that massive symphonic works of 5 hours with 500 musicians is the way to go, so everyone just try to compete with the most expensive symphonic work. But you've discovered in your room that the secret of music is not 500 musicians, and that people want is an emotional journey, no quantity.
It's a lot like how small childrens want isn't a movie about regret and production, what deep down kids want is some toys with soldiers they put to fight, or to roleplay as mom and dad and kids and a little marble to enter the hole
